Careers in Music Speaker Series
Curtis is wholly committed to preparing its students and alumni to invent 21st-century careers, and to this end, aims to equip them with a variety of on-stage and off-stage skills.
This speaker series, curated by Mary Javian, chair of career studies, gives the Curtis community the opportunity to hear from a variety of illustrious performers and others from the music world, each with a uniquely successful career.
All events are open to Curtis students, faculty, staff, and alumni.

Soprano Karen Slack has performed with major conductors in opera houses and concert halls around the world.
Mark Rabideau

Mark Rabideau is the associate dean for academic and faculty affairs at the University of Colorado Denver’s College of Arts and Media (CAM).
Ranaan Meyer
Wednesday, January 20 at 8 p.m.
Ranaan Meyer is a founding member and performer with Time for Three as well as a double bass educator.
Dover Quartet
Wednesday, February 17 at 8 p.m.
International touring and recording group the Dover Quartet joined the faculty in 2020 as the inaugural Penelope P. Watkins Ensemble in Residence.
