Curtis Symphony Orchestra
Curtis Symphony Orchestra will present three riveting concerts in Verizon Hall; with returning maestros Yannick Nézet-Séguin, Michael Stern, and Robert Spano. Featuring the beloved Beethoven violin concerto, a concerto premiere for electric guitar, the voices of our acclaimed opera students, and more—the orchestra will delight with energy and virtuosity.
Curtis Opera Theatre
Curtis Opera Theatre celebrates a season that combines beloved repertoire with cutting-edge works on stages across Philadelphia. Three fully staged productions will include Nicholas McGegan leading a new dramatic mounting of Handel’s L’Allegro, il Penseroso ed il Moderato, Kurt Weill’s Seven Deadly Sins alongside Poulenc’s Les mamelles de Tirésias, and Janáček’s The Cunning Little Vixen. Plus, our rising opera stars will join the orchestra on opening night for a thrilling evening of selections by Richard Strauss.
Ensemble 20/21
Ensemble 20/21 continues to shine a spotlight on new music in three performances, offering a dynamic showcase of music of our time with themes like Music of the Earth. Through bold collaborations and striking productions, Ensemble 20/21 embraces the cutting edge of contemporary classical music.

Our house-favorite series Curtis Presents continues to feature the artistry of our global community with four compelling programs. Curtis Presents is where past and future meet, a diverse collection of artists—alumni, faculty, students, and contemporary creators—whose musical foundations are rooted in the Curtis community.
