Alumni Gawon Kim, Zubin Hathi Join Cleveland Orchestra
Gawon Kim (’22) and Zubin Hathi (’19) join the orchestra as second violin and principal timpanist, respectively
The Cleveland Orchestra recently announced the appointments of two more outstanding Curtis alumni to the ensemble. The orchestra welcomed Gawon Kim (’22) as second violin in the fall, and in July will welcome Zubin Hathi as principal timpanist, holding the Otto G. and Corinne T. Voss Chair.
This announcement comes on the heels of the announcement that Joel Link (’11, ’14), first violin of the Dover Quartet, had also been named the Cleveland Orchestra’s concertmaster, beginning July 3.
