Tianyou Ma (Violin ’23) Wins Second Prize at Michael Hill International Violin Competition

Congratulations to Tianyou Ma (Violin ’23) for winning the second prize of NZD10,000 (about $5,800) at the 25th annual Michael Hill International Violin Competition. The final round was held this past Saturday, June 6 in Auckland, New Zealand.

In Saturday’s grand finale round, Ma performed the Sibelius Violin Concerto with the Auckland Philharmonia. Watch his performance below.
