Composer TJ Cole ('16) Part of Creator Corps Inaugural Class

The Curtis alum is one of three inaugural members of new Louisville Orchestra initiative

TJ Cole (ArtistYear ’17, Composition ’16), Lisa Bielawa, and Tyler Taylor have recently been announced as the inaugural class of The Louisville Orchestra Creator Corps, which will house and employ three full-time composers to represent all musical genres. These “creators” will present new music throughout the season for both the Louisville Orchestra and the community.

“Lisa, TJ, and Tyler are examples of consummate 21st-century artist-leaders; their musical talents match their intellects and they all share a remarkable sensitivity to the needs of the world beyond the boundaries of contemporary musical composition,” said music director, Teddy Abrams (Conducting ’08).
