Ida Kavafian and Students Appear on the Violin Channel

Sixteen violin students perform solos and share lessons learned during isolation.

From October 10 to 14, students of violin faculty member Ida Kavafian appear on Facebook Live as part of the Violin Channel’s “On My Own” series. Each of the sixteen violinists performs a challenging work for solo instrument that was learned and recorded in isolation, due to the coronavirus pandemic. They also share spoken essays about lessons learned and positive experiences lived during quarantine.

The five-day virtual festival airs on the Violin Channel’s Facebook page and videos remain available to view on demand.
