Maya Lindsey Wins Barbara M. Irish Harp Award
The $5,500 NFMC prize is awarded annually to a Curtis harp student.
We’re delighted to congratulate current harp student Maya Lindsey for winning the National Federation of Music Club’s (NFMC) distinguished Barbara M. Irish Harp Award.
The annual award of $5,500 recognizes an exemplary undergraduate harp student at Curtis. It was established in 1999 by former president of NFMC Barbara M. Irish, who passed away several years later.
As a national nonprofit that promotes American music, performers, and composers, NFMC works to strengthen music education by supporting high standards of creativity and performance. Since its founding in 1898, the NFMC has grown into one of the world’s largest music organizations with club and individual members of all ages.
