About the Artists

Hwaseop Jeong, from Seoul, studying clarinet with Anthony McGill and YaoGuang Zhai, is the Mark and Esther Kramer Fellow and entered Curtis in 2022.

Romain-Olivier Gray, from Québec City and Woodbridge, Virginia, studying cello with Nicholas Canellakis, Yumi Kendall, Christine Lee, and Peter Wiley, is the Maurice Gendron Memorial Fellow and entered Curtis in 2022.

Sumin Kim (Violin ’21), from Seoul, studying viola with Misha Amory and Hsin-Yun Huang, is the Edna Harkness Fellow and first entered Curtis in 2017.

Kei Saotome, from Tokyo, studying violin with Erin Keefe, is the Shaun F. O’Malley Fellow and entered Curtis in 2024.

Niccolo Wu, from Taipei, Taiwan, studying violin with Benjamin Beilman, is the John S. Price Fellow and entered Curtis in 2024.
