Vocal Department Recital: “Folle Amore”
with Miloš Repický, piano
The Edith L. and Robert Prostkoff Memorial Concert Series
The Curtis Institute of Music’s iconic Student Recital Series returns this fall in Gould Rehearsal Hall. All recitals require a free ticket reservation. Public registration is available one week prior to event and is limited to two tickets per request.
Curtis’s vocal studies department returns to the live stage with an eclectic program of solo arias and ensemble scenes thoughtfully curated from the greatest works of the past two centuries. Treat yourself to a thrilling night of opera from bel canto to Britten.
Discover lesser-known gems such as the trio from verismo master Pietro Mascagni’s L’amico Fritz alongside popular favorites such as Puccini’s achingly beautiful “Chi il bel sogno di Doretta.” Laugh through arias from Poulenc’s farcical post-war romp Les mamelles de Tirésias, be moved by heartfelt declarations of young love in Donizetti’s sparkling masterpiece L’elisir d’amore, or bask in the melodies of Verdi and Debussy.
