Dvorák: String Quartets in E-flat Major and G Major
The Curtis Institute of Music’s iconic Student Recital Series returns to the stage for a vibrant season of performances. Curtis hosts a variety of chamber, ensemble and graduation recitals this spring. Admission requires advance reservation and is complimentary.
One of the first Czech composers to achieve worldwide renown, Antonín Dvořák remains one of the most beloved composers of any country. This two-concert project celebrates Dvořák through performances of four of his masterful middle- and late-period string quartets. In each work a member of the Dover Quartet, the former Penelope P. Watkins Ensemble in Residence at Curtis, will perform alongside three current students.
This program was rescheduled from our fall season.
The Edith L. and Robert Prostkoff Memorial Concert Series. The Curtis Institute of Music receives funding from the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts, a state agency funded by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and the National Endowment for the Arts.
