Colin Carr Residency Recital

Tonight’s recital opens with artist in residence, Colin Carr. Colin has been in residence with cello students this week. The theme for tonight’s recital is romantic cello sonatas, featuring works by Brahms, Barber, and Franck.

The Curtis Institute of Music’s iconic Student Recital Series returns to the stage for a vibrant season of performances. Curtis hosts a variety of chamber, ensemble and graduation recitals this spring. Admission requires advance reservation and is complimentary.

The Edith L. and Robert Prostkoff Memorial Concert Series. The Curtis Institute of Music receives funding from the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts, a state agency funded by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and the National Endowment for the Arts.

Élias Ackerley, from Shrewsbury, England, is a student of Meng-Chieh Liu and entered Curtis in 2019.

Jiyeon Kim, from Seongnam, South Korea, is a student of Carter Brey and Peter Wiley and entered Curtis in 2019.

Ania Lewis, from Cleveland, is a student of Gary Hoffman and Peter Wiley, and entered Curtis in 2021.
