Curtis Low Brass

Curtis Institute of Music students perform over 100 free recitals during the school year, held on most Monday, Wednesday, and Friday evenings. Admission requires advance registration and is complimentary.

Xiuzhang Charlie Cao, from Yantai, China, studying trombone with Nitzan Haroz and Matthew Vaughn, is the Harry L. and Cecilia F. Slavin Fellow and entered Curtis in 2023.

Jackson Howard, from Chilliwack, British Columbia, studying trombone with Nitzan Haroz and Matthew Vaughn, is the David H. Springman Memorial Fellow and entered Curtis in 2024.

Christian Jeon, from Louisville, Ky., studying tuba with Craig Knox and Paul Krzywicki, is the Dr. Bong S. Lee Fellow and entered Curtis in 2024.

Delvan Lin, from Auckland, New Zealand, studying piano with Michelle Cann, is the Karolyn Kirksey Holler Fellow and entered Curtis in 2023.
