Jasmine Choi with Curtis Strings

Jasmine Choi is celebrated worldwide for her extraordinary virtuosity, acclaimed recordings, and a robust online presence that reaches more than one million followers across social media. Renowned for pushing the instrument’s traditional boundaries, she has become an icon of the flute in the 21st century.

Born in Korea into a third-generation family of musicians, Choi discovered the flute at 9 and at 16, she moved to the U.S., entering at the Curtis Institute of Music with Julius Baker and Jeffrey Khaner, followed by graduate studies at Juilliard School. Upon graduation, she served as associate principal flute of the Cincinnati Symphony under Paavo Järvi, and principal flute of the Vienna Symphony under Fabio Luisi, before launching her full-time career as soloist.

Choi has appeared with leading ensembles including the Vienna Symphony, Philadelphia Orchestra, Salzburg Mozarteum, Berlin Symphony, Czech Philharmonic, and Seoul Philharmonic. She has performed on primary stages across Europe, Asia, and North America, and her performance of Arirang at the 2018 PyeongChang Winter Olympics remains a cultural milestone. Chamber collaborations with artists including Martha Argerich, Robert Levin, Kit Armstrong, Julien Quentin, Sumi Jo, and the Schumann Quartet showcase her versatility, from intimate recitals to dynamic ensemble projects. Her discography spans Sony Classical releases, solo albums, and original arrangements, with more than 15 flute concertos composed for her.

Beyond performance, she designed her own signature flute case, praised for its innovation, and published best-selling educational works and arrangements with Theodore Presser Company and Seoul Music Publishing.

Born in San Diego, California, violinist Anaïs Feller began playing the violin at the age of five. She is currently a student at the Curtis Institute of Music, where she studies with Midori and Erin Keefe.

In 2018, at the age of sixteen, Anaïs was named a Young Artist in Residence on NPR’s Performance Today, an honor that included her recordings broadcasted on classical radio stations throughout the United States.

Anaïs has performed throughout North America, Europe, and Asia and has appeared at numerous international festivals. Since 2023, she has participated annually in the Edinburgh International Festival, collaborating with artists including Stefan Jackiw and Nicola Benedetti. In 2026, she joins the Nume Festival in Italy and the Verbier Soloists Academy in Switzerland.

Most recently, Anaïs was awarded the Grand Prize at the HKGNA International Music Competition in Hong Kong 2025. Additional distinctions include the Second Prize and Orchestra Prize at the Tibor Junior International Violin Competition, as well as awards at Verão Clássico and the Burgos International Music Festival. As a soloist, she has appeared with the Colburn Virtuosi, SoCal Philharmonic, Plano Symphony Orchestra, South Coast Symphony, and other ensembles.

Bailin Jian, born in Beijing in 2007, studied viola at the age of 6 with Hao Zhang. She entered Central Conservatory of Music Middle School in 2019, studied viola with Professer Shaowu Wang. And enrolled in the Curtis Institute of Music in 2025.

Bailin Jian was awarded “Future Winner for the youngest semifinalist with the highest mark” in the Brahms international competition 2024, Third place of Llanes international viola competition in 2023 , Special awards of Ming Classics Music Competition, First Prize with Excellence Nomination of the VIVALDI International music competition, Platinum Medalist of the 13－15 years old category of the 2022 Quebec Music Competition , First Prize and MingClassics Award of the VIOLA C CATEGORY of the 2020 MingClassics International Online Music Competition and so on.

She also attended the Morningside Music Bridge and Seiji Ozawa Music Academy in 2024.

Jonah Kernis, born in New York City, began cello at age three. He earned his Bachelor’s Degree from the New England Conservatory where he studied with Paul Katz, and is pursuing a Master’s Degree at the Curtis Institute of Music with Nick Canellakis, Yumi Kendall, Christine Lee, and Peter Wiley. He also studied at the Juilliard Pre-College program with Natasha Brofsky and at the Special Music School with Yari Bond. As a soloist, Jonah won the NEC Lower Strings Concerto Competition, performing Dvorak’s Cello Concerto with Hugh Wolff and the NEC Philharmonia in Jordan Hall. He has had masterclasses with Jens Peter Maintz, Wolfgang Emanuel Schmidt, Ralph Kirshbaum & David Waterman at IMS Prussia Cove, Steven Isserlis, Carter Brey, Blaise Dejardin, Zlatomir Fung, Luis Claret, and others. Jonah is an avid chamber and orchestral musician. He is a substitute cellist with the Boston Symphony Orchestra, and has also played with them at the Tanglewood Music Festival. As a member of the Alira String Quartet, he received the NEC Chamber Music Honors Award and the Borromeo String Quartet Guest Artist award, playing Mendelssohn’s String Octet with the BSQ in Jordan Hall. He also won the NEC x A Far Cry Collaborative Competition. Jonah has attended festivals including Tanglewood Music Center, Shostakovich Festival Leipzig, Taos School of Music, Aspen Music Festival, Yellow Barn Young Artist Program, Greenwood Music Camp, Bowdoin International Music Festival, and Kinhaven Music School. His goal is to share and create music with as many people as he can.
