Curtis Institute of Music students perform over 100 free recitals during the school year, held on most Monday, Wednesday, and Friday evenings. Admission requires advance registration and is complimentary.

About the Artists
Maggie Carter, from Portland, Ore., studying double bass with Edgar Meyer and Hal Robinson, is the Samuel and Sarah Fuchs Fellow and entered Curtis in 2024.
Alexandra Cooreman (’25), from Brussels, studying violin with Ida Kavafian and Erin Keefe, is a Milka Violin Artist Fellow and first entered Curtis in 2021.
Xuanyan Jessie Gong, from Shanghai, studying piano with Robert McDonald, is a Curtis Institute of Music Fellow and entered Curtis in 2025.
Jonah Kernis, from New York City, studying cello with Yumi Kendall and Peter Wiley, is the Charles and Judith Freyer Fellow and entered Curtis in 2025.
Fátima Landa Velázquez, from Xalapa, Mexico, studying oboe with Katherine Needleman and Philippe Tondre, is the Bob and Caro Rock Fellow and entered Curtis in 2024.
Jonathan Okseniuk, from Mesa, Ariz., studying violin with Midori, is a Dorothy Richard Starling Foundation Fellow and entered Curtis in 2023.
Nazeeh Shahid, from Chicago, studying viola with Roberto Díaz and Edward Gazouleas, is the Walter and Leonore Annenberg Fellow and entered Curtis in 2024.
Dandan Jingfei Wang, from Changsha, China, studying violin with Shmuel Ashkenasi and Pamela Frank, is the Nina von Maltzahn Fellow and entered Curtis in 2021.
