Giuseppe Bruno-Chomin

Giuseppe Bruno-Chomin holds a Ph.D. in Italian Studies from the University of Pennsylvania. His research interests include early modern studies, intellectual history, history of science, Mediterranean studies, paleography, second language acquisition and development, and translation studies. He has published several articles in international peer-reviewed journals, and has translated a number of scholarly works, most recently Irene Fosi’s monograph Inquisition, Conversion, and Foreigners in Baroque Rome (Leiden-Boston: Brill, 2020). He also trained as a classical violinist and vocalist, when younger, prior to dedicating himself to academic pursuits.

Dr. Bruno-Chomin joined the faculty of the Curtis Institute of Music in 2020.
