The Curtis Opera Theatre brings Mozart to the silver screen! MERCY, a radical reimagining of La clemenza di Tito tells the story of the Roman emperor Tito, the vengeful Vitellia, and her besotted admirer Sesto. Will Vitellia’s plot to assassinate the emperor and claim the throne for herself succeed?

Join us for a double bill of American operas by two of Curtis’s most distinguished alumni. Gian Carlo Menotti’s The Medium is a disturbing tale of a fraudulent psychic’s violent confrontation with the unknown. Marc Blitzstein’s farcical Triple-Sec is a critique of the Roaring Twenties right before they came crashing down.
