Student Recital Series Begins October 15

The Student Recital Series provides a platform for exceptional young musicians—and free opportunities for audiences to indulge in a season-long showcase of artistry. Student artists perform solo and chamber works most Mondays and Fridays at 8 p.m. in Gould Rehearsal Hall for in-person audiences, with weekly digital broadcasts available. For the safety of our performers, free registration is required in advance.

MERCY: An Opera/Film from the Curtis Opera Theatre

Curtis Opera Theatre reimagines La clemenza di Tito for the silver screen. The opera/film production directed by Chas Rader-Shieber and Alek Shrader creates fantastical new worlds around Mozart’s noble drama of ancient Rome. Screenings at the Prince Theater begin with a special opening night celebration November 4.

Tania León, Composer in Residence

A vital personality on today’s music scene, Tania León is highly regarded as a composer and conductor and for her accomplishments as an educator and advisor to arts organizations. She will lead master classes, coach student musicians for public performances, and more during her residency. Highlights include a portrait concert by Ensemble 20/21.



Looking Ahead to the Spring

The Curtis Symphony Orchestra returns to Verizon Hall with conductor Peter Oundjian and organist Alan Morrison in January, and conductor Robert Spano and pianist Yefim Bronfman in April.

From the farcical alliances of Così fan tutte to more sinister designs in The Dangerous Liaisons, the Curtis Opera Theatre showcases stunning new productions in March and May.
