Winds and Strings

Wednesday, November 20 at 8 p.m.

Field Concert Hall, 1726 Locust Street

This exciting collaboration with Curtis on Tour showcased a unique ensemble of winds and strings, performing expansive chamber music works by Beethoven and Penderecki and led by alumni Benjamin Schmid and Gabriel Kovach.

The Curtis 20/21 Ensemble performed works in collaboration with Bright Sheng, the 2019–20 composer in residence.

An on-stage conversation with Bright Sheng preceded the performance.

An Afternoon of Song

Sunday, February 16 at 3 p.m.

Field Concert Hall, 1726 Locust Street

Recent alumni Elena Perroni (Opera ’18) and Evan LeRoy Johnson (Opera ’18) returned to Field Concert Hall for a lyrical afternoon. Pianist and Hirsig Family Chair of Vocal Studies Danielle Orlando accompanied the singers.
