About the Performers

Maya Anjali Buchanan (’23), from Rapid City, S.D., a student of Ida Kavafian, is the Jill and Sheldon Bonovitz Fellow and first entered Curtis in 2018. 

Fiona Yangyue Cheen, from Jingzhou City, China, a student of Meng-Chieh Liu, is the Eileen Flissner Memorial Fellow and entered Curtis in 2023.   

Xiuzhang Charlie Cao, from Yantai, China, a student of Nitzan Haroz and Matthew Vaughn, is the Harry L. and Cecilia F. Slavin Fellow and entered Curtis in 2023.  

Jacques Forestier, from Edmonton, Alberta, a student of Shmuel Ashkenasi and Pamela Frank, is the Efrem Zimbalist Fellow and entered Curtis in 2022.   

Emmalena Huning, from Perth, Australia, a student of Benjamin Beilman and Erin Keefe, is the Yvonne Druian Fellow and entered Curtis in 2023.   

Kathryn Jarmulowicz, from Minneapolis, a student of Jeffrey Lang and Jennifer Montone, is the Abigail Rebecca Zubrow Cohen Memorial Fellow and entered Curtis in 2024.  

Ruqi Jiang, from Wenzhou, China, a student of David Starobin and Jason Vieaux, is a Curtis Institute of Music Fellow and entered Curtis in 2023.   

Ania Lewis, from Cleveland, a student of Gary Hoffman and Peter Wiley, is the Gie and Lisa Liem Fellow and entered Curtis in 2021.   

Muxin Li, from Hangzhou, China, a student of David Starobin and Jason Vieaux, is the Mimi Lane and Robert Durham Fellow and entered Curtis in 2022.
