Avery Gagliano Wins National Chopin Competition

Ms. Gagliano will compete in the International Chopin Piano Competition in Warsaw in October.

Piano student Avery Gagliano (pictured second from left in all-black) has been awarded the top prize at the National Chopin Competition, which includes a substantial cash award and a Steinway & Sons recording contract. Ms. Gagliano, who entered Curtis in 2016, studies piano with Gary Graffman and Jonathan Biss. She will continue on to the International Chopin Piano Competition, which takes place in October 2020.
