Music in the Galleries

  • Dec 2, 2017 @ 12:00 A.M.

The Zorá String Quartet, in residence at Curtis, presents an engaging and contemplative program centered around Ludwig van Beethoven’s “Holy Song of Thanksgiving” from his late-period Quartet in A minor, Op. 132, preceded by a movement from The Last Days by English minimalist Gavin Bryars. This musical program is illuminated by the stark beauty of Rogier van der Weyden’s The Crucifixion, with the Virgin and Saint John the Evangelist Mourning, part of the Old Masters Now exhibition

Performances are at 1:30 p.m., 2:15 p.m., and 3 p.m. and are free with museum admission.
