Joseph HarroffJoseph Harroff received his Ph.D. in comparative philosophy from the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa in 2018 and an MA in Chinese Philosophy from Shandong University in 2008. His research explores creative interpretive horizons made possible for ethical and political theorizing via methods of responsible cross-cultural contextualization and philosophical translation. 

Dr. Harroff joined the faculty of the Curtis Institute of Music in 2020 and also teaches courses in philosophy, religion, Asian studies at Rutgers Universtiy, Pennsylvania State University, and American University.
