Elizabeth De TrejoSoprano Elizabeth De Trejo’s recent roles include Donna Anna (Don Giovanni) with Syracuse Opera and Florida Grand Opera; Venus (Orphée aux enfers) with the New Orleans Opera; Fiordiligi (Così fan tutte) with North Carolina Opera; Norma (Norma) with the St. Petersburg Opera Company; Il Si (Il Si) with Orchestra Sinfonica di Milano Giuseppe Verdi; the Queen of the Night (Die Zauberflöte für Kinder) with Opernhaus Zürich; Donna Elvira (Don Giovanni) with the Savannah VOICE Festival; Adina (L’elisir d’amore) with Dayton Opera; Donna Anna (Don Giovanni) and Gilda (Rigoletto) with the Toledo Opera; and Violetta (La Traviata), Lucia (Lucia di Lammermoor), Marguerite (Faust) with Opera Tampa. She made her debut with the Metropolitan Opera (Lulu) in the 2009–10 season.

Ms. De Trejo has performed numerous recitals in Europe, Asia, and the United States, including an appearance with Lyric Fest in Philadelphia in December 2019. She was a featured soloist in the U.S. premieres of Joachim Raff’s Te Deum and Lili Boulanger’s De Profundis with The Orchestra Now at Carnegie Hall in 2019, and has also appeared as a soloist with the Greenwich Choral Society, the York Symphony Orchestra, the Oratorio Society of New York, the Mariinsky Orchestra, the National Chorale, and the orchestra of the Great Mountains Music Festival. She has received awards from the Gerda Lissner Foundation; the MacAllister Vocal Awards; the Jenny Lind, Rosa Ponselle International, Giulio Gari Foundation, and Liederkranz Foundation competitions; the Metropolitan Opera’s National Council Auditions; and the Randolph “Randy” Mickelson Memorial Fund.

Ms. De Trejo holds a bachelor’s degree from Loyola University and a master’s degree from Yale University, and was a member of the International Opera Studio at Opernhaus Zürich. She joined the adjunct faculty of the Curtis Institute of Music in 2018.
