The prize-winning composition was written for Hilary Hahn ('99) and co-commissioned by the Curtis Institute of Music along with the Indianapolis, Toronto, and Baltimore symphony orchestras.
The Curtis Symphony Orchestra performs the concerto with Hilary Hahn next season. Performances are in Verizon Hall, Philadelphia on February 14; and in Carnegie Hall in New York on February 15, 2011. Juanjo Mena will conduct.
