Curtis on Tour in Berlin, Germany
This fall, Curtis on Tour performs across Europe with a newly commissioned work by Richard Danielpour entitled Canti della Natura (Songs of Nature). These exciting new songs set sonnets penned by Antonio Vivaldi, which were written to accompany his own Le quattro stagioni (Four Seasons). The new piece is performed alongside works of Schubert and Brahms.
The tour begins in Athens, where Curtis on Tour makes its sixth appearance as the ensemble in residence at the Nights of Classical Music at the Gennadius Library. The annual festival is presented by the Schwarz Foundation and the Gennadius Library of the American School of Classical Studies at Athens.
This performance is presented in collaboration with Young Euro Classic.
