1. Prepare

Prepare a digital photo of yourself, from which a photo ID will be generated. The photo must be full-face view directly facing the camera with both eyes open, no glasses, and no hat or head covering that obscures or shadows your face. (Head coverings worn daily for religious purpose are allowed.)

2. Register

The link to the registration will be posted here soon.

3. Pay

Pay tuition and all fees on the application platform. Once you submit your auditor registration, you are confirmed to attend!

Starting noon EST Thursday, March 15, 2018, $60 will be added to the application fee. Applications close Friday, April 13, 2018 at noon. EST.


  • December 2017: Applications available
  • Thursday, March 15, 2018, noon EST: Applications due. An additional $60 late fee will be assessed on applications submitted after this date.
  • Early April 2018: Notification of admission status provided to all who submitted by March 15
  • Friday, April 13, noon EST: Final deadline for all applications. Applications submitted between March 15 and April 13 will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
  • April 30, 2018: Payment due for applicants accepted as performers*

*Auditors pay tuition and housing fees at the time of registration.

*Registration fee: $65 before Wednesday, March 15, 2018 at noon EST; $125 (March 15–April 13). Applicants also submit a $25 transaction fee.

Curtis Donors, from the Player's Circle (those who have given $75 to Curtis Institute) and above, receive 15% discount on tuition. Contact summerfest@curtis.edu for your discount code to be entered at the end of registration (non-transferable).

Curtis Summerfest does not offer scholarships for the Jeffrey Khaner Flute Festival. Students and parents are urged to seek financial assistance from local sources such as school music organizations; county, state, or national music education organizations; youth orchestras and bands; music clubs; service clubs (Rotary, Kiwanis, etc.); businesses; churches; and foundations.
