Curtis Symphony Orchestra at Carnegie Hall

Led by Seattle Symphony music director Ludovic Morlot, the Curtis Symphony Orchestra returns to Carnegie Hall with a program inspired by Curtis’s year-long, all-school focus on the revolutionary Darmstadt school of composition. Parents and alumni are invited to a special pre-concert reception at Brasserie Cognac West, three blocks from Carnegie Hall.

  • 6 p.m. Pre-concert wine reception at Brasserie Cognac West
  • 8 p.m. Performance, Isaac Stern Auditorium at Carnegie Hall


South Philadelphia High School Community Concert
5:30 p.m.
2101 South Broad Street

Selections from the October 18 Curtis Symphony Orchestra concert will be performed during this free event for Philadelphia-area students, their families, and community groups. We invite you to join us for this one-hour performance. Please register for a free ticket here.



Parent Brunch
12 p.m.
Lock Board Room, Lenfest Hall

While students are at the sound check for the orchestra concert, join us for brunch to meet and socialize with other parents. The Kimmel Center is an easy, five-minute walk from Lenfest Hall.
