Let Curtis capture your heart

Perhaps capturing your heart is a bit extreme. Or is it? Curtis makes music and music takes hold of the heart, setting emotions free. That’s the arresting beauty of music.

This page is dedicated to events or concepts we hope will inspire and capture your heart:

Music and the heart: favorite quotes

Words to inspire …

"There is in souls a sympathy with sounds:
And as the mind is pitch'd the ear is pleased
With melting airs, or martial, brisk or grave;
Some chord in unison with what we hear
Is touch'd within us, and the heart replies."
~William Cowper"

"Music is the literature of the heart; it commences where speech ends." ~Alphonse de Lamartine

"Song brings of itself a cheerfulness that wakes the heart of joy." ~Euripides (c. 485-406 BC)

"My role in society, or any artist's or poet's role, is to try and express what we all feel. Not to tell people how to feel. Not as a preacher, not as a leader, but as a reflection of us all." ~John Lennon

"To have great poets there must be great audiences too." ~Walt Whitman (We'd add great musicians need great audiences too.)
