The 2011–12 Alumni Recital Series season includes two avid chamber musicians reuniting at Curtis, a versatile violinist with a career spanning a half-century, a distinguished pianist with deep Curtis roots, and a fast-rising Metropolitan Opera star.

Meredith Arwady and Mikael Eliasen Contralto Meredith Arwady is a fast-rising star, "remarkably rich of voice" (Chicago Sun Times), and a favorite of Metropolitan Opera audiences since her debut in 2008. She has sung major roles at the San Francisco Opera, the Lyric Opera of Chicago, the Houston Grand Opera, Oper Frankfurt, and English National Opera, and appeared in concert with the Boston, Seattle, National, and Houston symphony orchestras. Ms. Arwady collaborates with Mikael Eliasen, artistic director of the Curtis Opera Theatre. |
