WEILL Das Berliner Requiem
PURCELL Dido and Aeneas, Z. 626
BERIO Sequenza III for female voice

WEILL,PURCELL,BERIO

Purcell's glorious music enlivens the classical legend of the regal lovers Dido and Aeneas-one a queen, the other a noble warrior-forced to choose between passion and duty. Sorcery masquerades as divine intervention to threaten their union, with tragic results. Dido's famous lament finds echoes in compelling short works by Berio and Weill. {b}All performances are SOLD OUT.{/b}{br}{br} {b}Tickets{/b}: $30 {a href="http://purchase.tickets.com/buy/TicketPurchase?organ_val=21394&pid=7347201"}order{/a} {The Curtis Opera Theatre season is sponsored by The Horace W.
