President Roberto Díaz was soloist with the
Fairfax Symphony on Saturday, November
18. The day before, he hosted a luncheon
at La Côte d’Or Café in Arlington, Virginia,
for alumni and parents from the area.
Conversation covered a wide range of topics,
including the first-class training of the Curtis
orchestra players, enhancements to string
sectionals, the growing need for facilities
improvements, the higher level of parent
involvement as a national trend, and the
distinction between the board of trustees and the board of overseers.
