Alumni and parents will gather for a reception with Miguel Harth-Bedoya (Conducting '91), members of the Cleveland Orchestra, and friends after the orchestra concert on Thursday, February 22. (Eleven members of the Cleveland Orchestra are Curtis alumni, ranging from the class of 1976 to the class of 2003.)

President Roberto Díaz was soloist with the Fairfax Symphony on Saturday, November 18. The day before, he hosted a luncheon
at La Côte d’Or Café in Arlington, Virginia, for alumni and parents from the area. Conversation covered a wide range of topics,
including the first-class training of the Curtis orchestra players, enhancements to string sectionals, the growing need for facilities
improvements, the higher level of parent involvement as a national trend, and the distinction between the board of trustees and the board of overseers.




"The Glory of Gabrieli" at St. Mark's

The Curtis Brass Ensemble, led by Paul Bryan, brings a spectacular program of Renaissance brass repertoire to St. Mark's Church on Sunday, March 7 at 3 p.m. "The Glory of Gabrieli" features music by Gabrieli, Monteverdi, Holborne, and Scheidt, among others, for ensembles ranging from brass quintet to massed brass choirs. The recital is free and no tickets are required. St. Mark's Episcopal Church is located at 1625 Locust Street, Philadelphia.
