Curtis is where legends begin. This has been true since the school’s founding in 1924.

In 2009 the Curtis Crescendo Club was launched to to energize the school’s fan base and grow support among a younger generation of classical music lovers in Philadelphia.

We invite you to join us for a variety of Crescendo Club events, which are designed to introduce arts lovers age forty and younger to opera productions, alumni and student chamber music recitals, and orchestra concerts.

Each event offers an educational component, allowing you to explore “behind the scenes” of the music. It’s a wonderful opportunity to learn more about Curtis as a school—a cultural treasure for not only Philadelphia but also the world. Many events are free or discounted for Crescendo Club members.

While membership in the Curtis Crescendo Club is free, the group is dedicated to supporting Curtis’s mission financially, as well as in the concert hall. All members are encouraged to consider making a gift to the school’s Annual Fund.

Friday, November 20 at 6:30 p.m. – Crescendo Club and the Curtis Opera Theatre at the Prince (FREE; learn more and register)

Sunday, February 28 at 3 p.m. – Crescendo Club and Time for Three (learn more about Time for Three) SOLD OUT

Friday, March 12 at 6:30 p.m. – Friday Night at Curtis!
preconcert reception and docent tour of 1726 Locust Street, followed by a student recital

Saturday, April 24 at 6:30 p.m. – Curtis Symphony Orchestra in Verizon Hall at the Kimmel Center, special Crescendo Club ticket price including preconcert gathering in Rittenhouse Square
