The Curtis Annual Fund

The Curtis Annual Fund supports nearly 25 percent of Curtis's annual operating budget, providing essential support for instructional and student assistance programs. All other schools rely heavily on revenue from tuition to cover a large portion of expenses: Curtis's unique policy of awarding every student a merit-based full-tuition scholarship makes Annual Fund support critical to the school's operations.

Each gift to the Annual Fund is spent in the year in which it is received and therefore directly benefits currently enrolled students.

To find out more about ways to give, the benefits you will receive by giving, or about the Leopold Stokowski Society, the Annual Fund's leadership giving-society, click on the links below.

THE LEOPOLD STOKOWSKI SOCIETY
As the Curtis Annual Fund is absolutely essential to the Institute, the Stokowski Society is absolutely essential to the success of the Annual Fund. The Stokowski Society is a group of leadership donors who contribute $1,250 and above to the Annual Fund each year. The Curtis Annual Fund covers a full one-fifth of operating expenses, and Stokowski Society gifts account for over two-thirds of the individual giving to the Annual Fund. For their generous support, Stokowski Society members are listed on a handsome plaque outside of Field Concert Hall and receive an invitation to an annual dinner, as well as other benefits.

For more information about joining the Stokowski Society, please contact Anthony J. Brown, director of the annual fund, at 215-893-5279.

THE FRIENDS OF CURTIS
The Friends of Curtis provide essential support for instructional and student assistance programs. All other schools rely heavily on revenue from tuition to cover a large portion of expenses, but Curtis's unique policy of awarding every student a merit-based full-tuition scholarship eliminates this traditional source of income. Friends' memberships provide direct support of the Annual Fund, which is critical to the school's operations in the absence of tuition revenue.

Membership in the Friends of Curtis comes with many privileges, depending upon the level of contribution. All entitle members to discounts or free tickets to concerts of the Curtis Symphony Orchestra in the acclaimed Verizon Hall at the Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts, in addition to invitations to various members-only events.

If you have any questions about the Friends of Curtis, please contact Anthony J. Brown, director of the annual fund, at 215-893-5279.
