WHYY’S Y Arts Channel
Fall 2007--Winter 2008
Beginning September 3, WHYY's Y Arts digital cable channel presents
a second season of programs drawn from the Curtis Student Recital
Series. On Stage at Curtis consists of 25 concert-length
programs recorded by three robotic cameras installed in Field Concert
Hall. A gift from the Joseph and Marie Field Foundation funded the
acquisition and installation of the cameras and related video equipment.
On Stage at Curtis airs on the Y Arts digital channel
(Comcast Channel 241) on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays at 7 p.m.
and is available to anyone with a digital TV and external antenna.

Yuja Wang from Beijing is a student of Gary Graffman
and entered Curtis in 2002. In 2006, Ms. Wang was a recipient of
the prestigious Gilmore Young Artist Award. During the 2006-07 season,
she had debuts at the New York Philharmonic, the Boston, Chicago,
Houston, and San Francisco symphonies, and the NHK Symphony Orchestra
in Japan.
