THE CURTIS INSTITUTE OF MUSIC
Located at 1726 Locust Street, adjacent to the beautiful Rittenhouse Square in the heart of Philadelphia.

Wheelchair accesibility. Field Concert Hall is fully wheelchair accessible, with wheelchair seating on a first-come, first served basis. Please call the Curtis Ticket Office at 215-893-7902 to make arrangements for wheelchair seating in the Curtis Opera Studio.

Getting to Curtis
By SEPTA. Exit the Penn Center Suburban Station at 18th Street and JFK Boulevard and walk or take a cab five blocks south to Locust Street.

By PATCO. Exit the 15th-16th Street Station (on Locust Street) and proceed two blocks west to 1724 Locust Street.

By car
From the North
: Travel South on the NJ Turnpike to exit 4 Camden/Philadelphia. Follow signs to Ben Franklin Bridge to Philadelphia. Take I-676 to Broad Street South exit. Proceed south on 15th Street and make a right on Spruce Street. Continue on Spruce making a right on 18th Street, and another right onto Locust Street.

From the South
: Travel North on I-95 to Philadelphia's Broad Street exit (Rte. 291N). Travel north on Broad Street about 2.5 miles. Make a left onto Spruce Street, a right onto 18th Street, and a right on Locust Street.

From the East
: Travel to the Ben Franklin Bridge Philadelphia, and take I-676 W to Broad Street South exit. Proceed south on 15th Street to Spruce Street, a right on 18th Street, and a right onto Locust Street.

From the West: Travel east on the PA Turnpike to exit 24 (I-76 east, Schuykill Expressway). Travel east on the expressway to the South Street exit. Make a left and cross the South Street Bridge. Travel east and make a left onto 18th Street and a right onto Locust Street.

A 100th Birthday Tribute to Elliott Carter

20/21: The Curtis Contemporary Music Ensemble performs a concert of works by Elliott Carter on Thursday, May 8 at 8 p.m. in honor of the famed composer's 100th birthday. The free recital takes place in Field Concert Hall at The Curtis Institute of Music, and no tickets are required. The program also includes two pieces by student composers Christopher Rogerson and Ke-Chia Chen. View the entire program.

Dedicated to the music of the 20th and 21st centuries, 20/21 performs works ranging from important twentieth-century compositions to newly written pieces not yet part of the core repertoire.
