Christoph Eschenbach, music director designate of the Philadelphia Orchestra, rehearsed the Curtis Symphony Orchestra in Dvorák's Symphony No. 9 as part of the Institute's on-going Saturday visiting conductor series. In recent years, distinguished guests on the series have included the Philadelphia Orchestra's current Music Director, Wolfgang Sawallisch; Charles Dutoit; James Levine; Sir André Previn; Sir Simon Rattle; Mstislav Rostropovich; Yuri Temirkanov and David Zinman.
