Join the Curtis Institute of Music for our largest annual fundraising event of the year. On Sunday, April 29, 2018 we pay tribute to Joseph and Marie Field at this year’s elegant event.

The event begins with a cocktail reception at 5:00 p.m. followed by a seated dinner at the Hyatt at the Bellevue. 2017 Annual Gala

Curtis gratefully acknowledges the generous supporters of the 2017 gala, which was held on Sunday, May 7 at the Kimmel Center for Performing Arts. Chaired by Betty and Jim Matarese, the evening offered an opportunity to highlight Curtis on Tour, its purpose, and plans for its future. Over 250 people were in attendance and $500,000 was raised to support Curtis. Guests enjoyed a cocktail reception and three-course dinner followed by an orchestra performance that highlighted repertoire from the momentous 2017 European tour of the Curtis Symphony Orchestra. The concert included Barber’s Adagio for Strings, Brahms’s Piano Concerto No. 1, and Strauss’s Ein Heldenleben. Osmo Vänskä led the program, assisted by conducting fellow Conner Gray Covington (’17), and Peter Serkin (’64) was the piano soloist.
