Extraordinary special events spotlighted the school throughout the 2011-12 Appassionato season.

MAY 11    APPASSIONATO Finale: Party in the Park Gala at the Mann

Take a look at the rehearsal, concert, and gala as Curtis opened the Mann summer season to a crowd of over 4,000.

MARCH 3    Cool. Classic. Curtis. Sings!

A cabaret-style event in Lenfest Hall featured a silent auction and Curtis singers in an array of Appassionato-related repertoire. Proceeds benefited the Curtis Student Assistance Fund. 

OCTOBER 22 and 23    APPASSIONATO Gala Weekend

Thanks to the participation and generosity of over 325 donors, the Appassionato Gala Weekend was an extraordinary success! Over $250,000 was raised for the Curtis Student Assistance Fund.

The celebration began with a gala dinner at the Radisson Plaza-Warwick Hotel Philadelphia on Saturday evening, followed by a Sunday afternoon orchestra concert and preconcert celebration in the Kimmel Center.

SEPTEMBER 16 through 18    Alumni Reunion

Curtis welcomed back alumni from around the globe for its first reunion in seven years. See who attended.

SEPTEMBER 6   Lenfest Hall Ribbon Cutting

Over 400 Curtis friends and family attended the opening of Lenfest Hall, the school's first expansion in over twenty years, more than doubling the school's resources for students. Watch a video and learn more.
