In this season of giving, a Curtis Institute of Music student offers a story about a time when she received a special and unexpected gift. According to violinist Gergana Haralampieva, one simple act of kindness leads to another.
Gergana performs "Miniatures for Solo Violin," by Curtis student composer TJ Cole.
“Curtis is the most loving, caring, and supportive community I have been in. It is a place to explore your playing, learn from your talented peers, play together, and have fun. Most importantly, it is a place where you can feel safe to make mistakes, which is crucial to your growth as an artist.”
—Gergana Haralampieva, Age 21, Norwood, Massachusetts, Fourth-year violin student studying with Ida Kavafian and Pamela Frank
