Student Services

The safety, health and well-being of our students is of primary concern to the Curtis administration. Trained professionals oversee all student services including financial aid, coordination of housing opportunities, new student orientation, psychological and medical services, international student support, career planning, and precollege program monitoring, as well as programs to enhance students' everyday experience.

In FY 2012 the Student Services staff developed strategies for providing service to our students 24/7 in Lenfest Hall.  The new facility has transformed student life, as Curtis is now offering housing and dining services for the first time. Meanwhile the school must continue to ensure student services of the highest caliber to complement the preeminent music training and education for which Curtis is known, while preserving the rich traditions essential to the Curtis experience in a modern, state-of-the-art facility.

Among the strategic steps Curtis took in FY 2012 to enhance its services to students:

• implemented a residence life program in Lenfest Hall, with 80 students in residence (approximately half of the student body)
• hired and trained five Resident Assistants (RAs) to provide leadership to residents and support the assistant dean of residence life in the administration of the residence hall
• implemented a new dining program for the entire student body
