Darryl Hartshorne, circulation manager

Originally from Canada, Darryl has been a member of the Curtis library staff since 2002.

An active freelance bassoonist, he studied bassoon performance at the University of Cincinnati and McGill University, and received his B.Mus. from the University of Alberta. He also holds an M.Mus. from Temple University where he studied with famed Philadelphia Orchestra bassoonist Bernard Garfield. 

He is a member of the Harrisburg Symphony Orchestra, the Pennsylvania Ballet Orchestra, and the Kennett Symphony Orchestra, and frequently substitutes with other local ensembles, including the Delaware Symphony Orchestra and Philadelphia Orchestra.
