Jessica Thompson


Jessica Thompson performs regularly throughout the United States and abroad as the violist of the Daedalus Quartet, winner of the 2001 Banff International String Quartet Competition and quartet in residence at Columbia University and the University of Pennsylvania. Daedalus also received the 2007 Martin Segal and Guarneri Quartet awards and was quartet in residence for Chamber Music Society Two at Lincoln Center from 2005 to 2007. In addition to her work with Daedalus, Ms. Thompson has performed at the Aspen, Marlboro festivals; and the Charlottesville and Portland chamber music festivals. Her solo appearances include concerts with the Minnesota Orchestra and recitals in Minneapolis, Philadelphia, and Washington, D.C. Ms. Thompson teaches at Princeton and Columbia universities and is a graduate of the Curtis Institute of Music, where she studied with Karen Tuttle.
