A stellar honorary committee and group of ambassadors help celebrate Curtis during the 2011–12 Appassionato season.
Honorary Committee
Maestro Alan Gilbert (Conducting '92), Composer Jennifer Higdon (Composition ‘88), bass-baritone Eric Owens (Opera ‘95), Maestro Simon Rattle, and Maestro Wolfgang Sawallisch serve as Appassionato honorary chairs.
The committee comprises eminent artists, predominantly alumni, who represent an array of musical disciplines. Together they exemplify Curtis’s proud tradition and heritage and look ahead as trailblazers in the contemporary musical scene.
Ambassadors
Trustee John Medveckis, trustee Robert Mundheim, and overseer Stephanie Naidoff serve as Appassionato chief ambassadors.
The Appassionato ambassadors—an eclectic group of civic leaders, artists, alumni, and Curtis trustees, trustees emeriti, overseers, fans, and friends—help spread the word and shine a light on Curtis locally, nationally, and internationally.
